Currently retired and thoroughly enjoying it! Spending time with friends and family and plan on some travel soon.

Family history: married to Dave Powers (Grosse Ile High School) 1968, Daughter Julie and Son Jeffrey. Both live close by.  One grandson, Joseph, now 6 1/2,  is in 1st grade at Donley in East Lansing.  Have a chocolate cocker named Mollie Mae

Attended Miami University with a degree from MSU. Graduate work at MSU, too. Taught elementary school in Owosso and Ionia, my last two years at a one-room school!    A member of Delta Gamma (served on house corp and advisory board at MSU's chapter. Was a Girl Scout leader, helped with cub scouts, served on boards for a hospital, county spouse abuse group, volunteered at the Michigan Historical Museum, where I helped train the docents (as well as working as a researcher there.) Was on a church vestry. Worked retail for a few years, mostly as the bridal consultant at Jacobson's.

We have lived in East Lansing, Traverse City, Lawton OK ( husband in Vietnam 1969 to 1970), Ionia and back in EL.

Husband retired in 2010 from 42 years as a banker and we have found all kinds of activities to keep us very busy.
