I have lived in California since age 21 in various places up and down the coast.
I attended Michigan State University for two years and ultimately received a
bachelor’s degree at UCLA in Sociology. Eventually I pursued a masters degree
in Marriage and Family Counseling at Santa Clara University.
Currently I work in private practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
I also have a part-time position where I train and supervise senior peer counselors.
These volunteer counseling services are free to the community and help fill a
service gap for home or institution bound seniors.
I have served on the board in my California Association of Marriage and Family
Therapists local chapters in Santa Clara and Monterey counties in a variety of
positions including president.
I have been married for 28 years to my husband Troy. He works for California
State University Monterey Bay in academic technology.
Together we enjoy our life on the Monterey Peninsula and plan to retire here
in the near future. We have a Chihuahua dog named Bandido who keeps us
in line and makes sure we take plenty of long walks – preferably on the beach!
