Current life situation (retired, working, volunteering, etc.):
Retired in sunny South Florida and taking it easy, but find there’s not as much time as I thought for doing all the things I had put off until retirement. Have been working on Web sites like this one.
Family history (wife, children, dogs, etc.) :
My first marriage gave me a son, David, now married with no children in Colorado. Met my current wife, Gail, in Detroit, early 1975. We tied the knot 5 years later and moved to Florida where we love the warm climate.
Current hobbies and interests:
We both are into running. Gail has run marathons and won trophies. I only run for fitness, am more into gadgets like my HTC pocket PC, its hardware, software and firmware, plus my home built VW buggy. But my passion is Rock'n'Roll music and getting my collection into my pocket device.
Claims to fame (books, awards, etc):
1977 Detroit Institute of Technology ‘Teacher of the Year’ $600 cash award for most student votes.
1996 paper “Approaching the Normal Curve - Visually” presented at the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges annual convention.
