1964-1968, research assistant, Michigan State University, Departments of Anatomy and Anthropology

1968-1980, research assistant, Regional Primate Research Center, University of Washington, Seattle; research assistant, Department of Anthropology; laboratory technician, Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroeterology, University of Washington, processed gastro biopsies for diagnosis.

1980-2003;  Phoenix, AZ.  Various employment with health insurance agencies until 1996 when I accepted a position with Valley of the Sun School in Phoenix, a school for children and adults with developmental disabilities as an insurance administrator for 300+ employees, as well as handling all Worker's Compensation claims and assisting with various administrative projects.

In 2001, with a diagnosis of COPD, I was blessed to receive a single lung transplant.  Sadly, in 2003 the lung rejected and I was forced to retire.  With the wonderful support and care from my mother and father, we all moved to Green Valley, AZ to be closer to the University of Arizona Medical Center.  After 3 years of 24/7 oxygen, confined to a wheelchair, I was approved for a second, double lung transplant which was done in December 2006.  I have faired very well since that operation and there is not one thing that holds me back from any activity.  I have been a member of Curves for 5 years and love it!  On March 1st of this year, I broke my hip and with physical therapy I'm doing very well.  Life is good and I'm very excited about joining my 1963 classmates in August.
