Personal Information:
Current life situation (retired working, volunteering, etc.): Rewired, not retired. We split our time between our lake house in Hickory Corners (Gull Lake) and mountain house in Park City, Utah. Family history (spouse, children, dogs, etc.): Married to Janet Ordway for 56 years, 4 children, 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and 6 grand dogs. Current hobbies and interests: Grandparenting, travel, reading, golf, tennis & collecting humorous stories (which resulted in eight volumes of "Grand Groaners") Claims to fame (books, awards, etc.): In addition to being a banker for 33 years, I also was an entrepreneur. I started Grand Bank in 1987, co- founded Lake Michigan Academy, a school for kids with learning disabilities in Grand Rapids in 1985 and founded Grand Angels, a private equity investment group in 2004 (see www.grandangels.org) Anything else you want to share: I believe that it is important for a grandparent to leave a written legacy for his grandchildren.
