Current life situation (retired working, volunteering, etc.):  

I’m currently semi-retired and working as a chaplain at several hospitals.

Married 37 years to my wife Marian, the love of my life. Together we have five accomplished children ranging in ages from 34 to 22. We also have five beautiful grand-children with number six due in October. 

Fishing, hunting, hiking, landscaping, reading and researching topics of special interest, and enjoying our cabin in the woods.

Cancer has been our unwanted companion for many years. Marian is a 13 year survivor and remains cancer free. In June we celebrated two years of cancer survival for our 3½ year old grand-daughter Lillianna who has a rare form of brain cancer called AT/RT.  Despite a poor prognosis she continues to improve every day. Through these experiences we are learning that every day is a gift, our strength and faith has increased, and a whole new world of children’s cancer research and support has opened to us.
