Personal Information:I live in Sugar Land, Texas in the same house that I had built in 1972. Current life situation (retired working, volunteering, etc.): Retired three years ago. Still on the board. Also Chairman of the Board of another company. Family history (spouse, children, dogs, etc.): Married 45 (glorious) years-some cynicism. A son Edward aged 41 who has two children; Dannielle and Victoria-13 and 10. They live in Houston and he works for an oil company. Daughter, Samantha aged 38 who has two children; Alexandria and Michael-8 and 4. Lives in a suburb of Dallas and she is a Middle School teacher. Current hobbies and interests: Like to fish and golf. Bought a lake house in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan at Brevoort Lake about a decade ago (couldn’t stay away from Michigan). Spend much of the hot summer up there. Education, Military Service or Training After ELHS: Went to MSU and got a Bachelors in Finance in 1967 and an MBA in 1968. Work History (dates, company name, location, title/job function): Work history includes a short 3 year stint in Chicago at a bank and then at mutual funds. Moved to Houston and went to work for an investment banking and brokerage company. The Company was bought by Paine Webber in 1984. Started an oil and gas company in 1980 and a natural gas pipeline company in 1982. They still exist, but they do not operate any more. Took time out to buy and operate a catfish raising company. Returned to the energy business in the mid 1990’s as the CFO of a NYSE oil service provider. Became its CEO and retired from that job three years ago. Still on the board of that company (TETRA Technologies---NYSE TTI) and also Chairman of the Board of a compression company that we spun out of TETRA (NASDAQ GSJK). |
