Current life situation (retired working, volunteering, etc.):  

I am delighted to be helping with our three young grandchildren (ages 6,7,8)  and participate with my husband’s involvement with the preK-12 school we started thirty years ago,  New Covenant Christian School.

Family history (spouse, children, dogs, etc.) :  

I am very blessed to be married to and deeply in love with my husband of 46 years, Fred McGlone.  We have two grown daughters and five grandchildren.  Our current menagerie consists of two Vizslas, Tildie and Timothy plus a truly noble cat named GK after British author GK Chesterton but Good Kitty to us.

Current hobbies and interests:   

I love to read, spend time with family, study world history, be at beautiful Glen Lake, and pray.

Claims to fame (books, awards, etc):   

I have no claims to fame.  I have had an interesting and challenging life with all the “normal” difficulties plus some serious health and relational issues.  I am profoundly grateful to be able to share with you that the power of God’s love demonstrated in Jesus Christ which I received as an MSU student many years ago continues to make all the difference in my life today!  God’s mercy and grace are REAL and TRULY AMAZING!

Anything else you want to share:  

Life for me is not a brief candle; it is a SPLENDID TORCH which I have hold of for a brief moment, and I want to make it blaze as brightly as possible before passing it on to future generations!

Education, Military Service or Training  After ELHS:     

· Both my undergraduate and graduate work were done at Michigan State University where I majored in History and English Education and curriculum design.

· I have taught students in grade 6 through Community College for over 34 years and have LOVED it!  These years have included teaching in seven different schools and then the privilege of helping my husband build and grow New Covenant Christian School.   It has been a great joy to help train our staff which includes many graduates, work with international students, and help influence other schools in this country and abroad.  What an honor to be able to touch eternity through the lives of children and young people!
