McAdoo  • What do people call you now? :   Jean  • Address (please provide at least a city and state):   130 Cheshire Chase, Fayetteville, GA 30215  • Email contact:   rmcadoo@bellsouth.net  • Phone number:    404-313-5654 Current life situation:   I am a retired Special Pathologist and Special Education Teacher.  I have been a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in Foster Care since retiring.  I am active in various volunteer positions through my church.   Family history (spouse, children, dogs, etc.):   I married Richard McAdoo in December 1968.  We have one son who lives in Maryland – no grandchildren.  My husband retired from the Navy after a 20 years career, hence the frequent moves including a tour in Hawaii and Belgium.  As a civilian he worked as an airline executive for 12 years and now is an Aviation Safety Consultant, mainly in Washington, D.C. Current hobbies and interests:   Golf, water sports and going to the gym whenever I can. Anything else you want to share:   My brother, Bob Frizelle, graduated from ELHS in 1956 and graduated from Hillsdale College in 1960.  I attended elementary school (grades 3-6th) in East Lansing and the beginning of 7th grade.  My High School years were spent in Birmingham, MI, Dallas, TX, and Minneapolis, MN.  Thank you for including me as one of your classmates.   Education, Military Service, or Training after ELHS: Graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Speech Pathology. Graduated from the University of Maryland, ES with a Masters in Special Education. Work History (dates, company name, location, title/job function): Worked as a Speech Therapist in Public Schools in Illinois, Texas, Rhode Island, Florida, Pennsylvania. Worked as a Special Education Teacher and/or Coordinator in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Georgia. Retired in 2008.
