Current life situation (retired working, volunteering, etc.):
Retired after 25 years working as a main-frame computer operator, before that, in libraries and grocery stores. As black-turtle-necked-white-shirted-bereted-bicycle-riding eccentric as ever, I'm a published poet, translator (Spanish and French), learning Body, Mind and Heart hands-on healing (includes bone and muscle work, Reike, cranial-sacral [invented at Michigan State], vibrational acupuncture, crystal work, among other "ways in") and spend the rest of my virtual 72-hour days doing international solidarity, mostly with Latin America and the First Peoples. Here's a poem, and a photo from last summer - Rocket science or after putting together the barbecue with friends:
Quiver
I am not
a single arrow
desiring its target
but a whole quiver
loosed,
my fletchings torqueing
against the wind,
unwilling to settle
for a single trajectory,
wakes of twisting feathers
non-concentric circles
drawn by a single bow,
converging
to lodge in
the black
imperial
heart.
