Linda Cotter-Cowles
I'm currently a retired attorney, a semi-retired professor and graphic designer and a not-at-all-retired artist. (I had a little difficulty deciding what to be when I grew up.)
I'm divorced but have 3 wonderful grown children and 3 grandchildren.
I've been back in Lansing for the past 35 years and have the distinction of having taught all three institutions of higher learning in this area, Cooley Law School, MSU and currently part-time at LCC. Of the three, I was at MSU the longest, 15 years, and in addition to my regular teaching assignment, I developed a study abroad program that took me to Italy and the French Riviera for several summers.
I've had some awesome travel experiences, too. Several other trips to Europe, a month-long camping trip out west with my daughter, and a month in China and Korea with a former grad assistant. More travel is still on my bucket list.
For the past 4 years, I've devoted as much time as possible to art work. My mixed-media paintings have been shown at galleries locally. Last year had a painting accepted for an international show. My work will be on display at the East Lansing Library during the month of June this year.
