Current life situation (retired working, volunteering, etc.): Professor of Economics, Rutgers University, since 1979. Former department chair, former director of the graduate program in economics. Consultant to Canadian Justice Department, U.S. Departments of Justice and Labor, other government agencies, and private parties involved in litigation concerning employment issues (discrimination, discharge, etc.). Volunteer at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, giving tours to Met patrons. Family history (spouse, children, dogs, etc.): Married to Wendy Young. Two children, two grandchildren, two stepchildren, one dog. Current hobbies and interests: Opera, wine, and listening to opera while drinking wine. University of Michigan football.
