We were married for 17 years. He passed on in 2000. • I have four beautiful daughters, 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. I graduated from high school and went home to Toronto, Canada and graduated from Walter Thorton School of Modeling. Next, I got married. (Jean Stanley was in my wedding) and I moved back to the United States. My first husband worked for Dow Chemical in Midland, Mi.. It was there that I raised our three children. At the same time, when the girls were in grade school, I ran a licensed child daycare in my home for 12 children. I closed my daycare after a few years and went to Sharps Real Estate School to get my Real Estate License. I also earned my GRI from the University of Michigan. I had my license for 35 years, selling residential and then commercial. My second husband was a real estate broker and we owned our own office, Earl Kein Realty. This is when my 4th child came along. At this time we built, owned, and operated a horse riding stable called; {Old Oak Trails} in the Midland, Michigan area, along highway 10 After we owned it for several years we closed it and moved to Bay City Michigan. There, we continued our real estate business. I also opened up a licensed nursery school for 40 children called; {Pam's Little Lambs}. When Ted passed on, I started working at Art Van Furniture in Bay City for 5 1/2 years as well as still selling commercial real estate for Henry Johnson Real Estate in Bay City. When real estate started to get real slow, I gave up my license and became a Christian Science Practitioner. God has been very good to me. I have had a very full life. Anything else you want to share: I'm sorry I won't be with everyone on this special occasion. I feel fortunate to be able to have attended the 25th class reunion. I want to end my profile by saying how blessed I was to be able to go to East Lansing High School. I moved in my senior year from Toronto, Canada where I found school very challenging, being an American living up there. So I came down to live with my brother and his wife to finish my senior year. I met so many wonderful friends and felt at home. So have a wonderful 50 year class reunion and I will be thinking of you all. Lovingly, Pam Machtel |
