I joined the faculty in the Eli Broad College of Business in 1974. This fall I will start my 40th year. I teach, conduct research, and consult in the area of corporate finance. In addition to mostly teaching MBA classes, I have directed at various times the finance PhD program and served seven years as department chairperson.  For the last six years, my wife Marty and I have led MBA student study abroad experiences to China, South America, and Eastern Europe. I do not anticipate retiring any time soon as long as I continue to enjoy the students and am able to spend periods of the summer on Lake Michigan in Glen Arbor.

Marty and I met as students at Michigan State and were married in 1968. She has been involved in real estate for over thirty years and is very active in MSU and community groups. We have two children, Debbie who lives in Grosse Pointe Shores, and Adam, who lives in Elmhurst, Illinois. We are blessed to have six grandchildren ranging in ages from 3 to 15.

I continue to play golf, squash, and enjoy sailing and fishing.  We go to all the Spartan football and basketball games and many cultural events at the Wharton Center for the Performing Arts.   We travel whenever we can. We had the experience of seeing Niagara Falls, Iguazu Falls in South America, and Victoria Falls in Africa all in the same year.

I would like to thank all the reunion committee members for the fun of getting together to organize this event.  I look forward to seeing everyone in August.
