Practice law and teach Poli Sci at Hawaii Pacific University.

My wife Marilyn was a successful RE developer and broker.  She was also a babe.  We had been married for over 40 years when she died in 2010.
 
3 adult children:  Beth, a magazine editor in Scottsdale w/one 4 year old son; Brian, a pediatric cardiologist in San Diego with 2 sons, 8 and 5 years old; and Tim a musician, singer/songwriter in LA.  4 brothers and 2 sisters all over the country and a slew of nephews and nieces. Annual family reunions / golf tourney every August in Charlevoix.

 

Current hobbies and interests:
 
Good music; bad golf; travel – as often as far as budget allows.

My students gave me a beautiful KOA canoe paddle recently.  I consider it my "Oscar."  Here is what the inscription says:
To our Dear Friend Tom:
 
You guided us on our journey and pointed us in the right direction.  We laughed, we loved, we cried, and we danced but best of all we learned.  You taught us the most important lesson of all Tom, that in this world there is hope and there is love, we just have to shut the fuck up and see it for ourselves.
